Line editing zooms in from the larger picture of the developmental edit and focuses on fine-tuning the voice, tone, and impact of the author’s voice and intention. It enhances the readability of the manuscript.

Copyediting polishes the manuscript, ensuring it meets industry and publication standards. The process allows the author’s message to be communicated clearly to the target audience.

This is the final stage of editing for the manuscript.
